Congratulations to Austin Wittig!
2011 National Financial Capability Challenge
Press release sent to Mrs. Tina Rowe on behalf of her students:
We would like to congratulate you on the achievements of your student(s) and thank you for your participation in the 2011 National Financial Capability Challenge. We believe that in today's economic times, increasing the financial knowledge and skills of American youth is critical to their futures and to the future financial stability of our country. Your support and enthusiasm in spreading the knowledge of personal finance to high school students is admirable. The Challenge was taken by more than 84,000 high school students between March 7 and April 8, 2011. Participants included students in rural areas, suburbs, and inner cities across the country, and in Department of Defense schools around the world. The average student score was 69 percent. The results reinforce our belief that there is more work to be done to prepare our young people for the financial future that awaits them.
Austin Wittig scored within the top 20 percent of the United States, only missing 1 question on the test to give him a 98.
Congratulations to Austin!
