Dear, Parents
Hello! My name is Donald Morgan and I will be your child’s 8th-grade science teacher here at Bremond Middle School. I am eager to start this school year and looking forward to meeting and learning all about you and your child. As your child’s science teacher, I am looking forward to helping your child learn about science. Because I know that you want your child to be successful, I offer these suggestions so that you can help your child gain proficiency in science.
Ask your child about homework assignments and check that he or she has completed them. Make sure your child is completing and studying the daily reading material from their textbook. They are allowed to write and highlight in their textbooks. Also, encourage your child to use the computer for research about the topics we are covering.
In this year of study, your child will learn to use scientific inquiry to explain the natural world. Your child will also learn about elements, chemical reactions, force, motion, Earth and the Universe, plate tectonics, mapping, atmosphere, weather, oceans, and living things.
