English II: Read the novel The Hound of the Baskervilles written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle or watch the movie The Hound of the Baskervilles. After watching or reading this literary piece, write a five paragraph essay answering the following question. Who is the murderer and why? You may use the following outline to organize your essay.
I.Introduction – include lead sentence, thesis sentence, and sentences on reasons

English IV: Read the novel Of Mice and Men written by John Steinbeck or watch the movie Of Mice and Men. After watching or reading this literary piece write a five paragraph essay in which you write a different ending? This essay will seem more like a story; so, consider the ending and write your own. I am not going to provide an outline for this essay because the essay should be a narrative (story). Be sure to give your essay a unique title and proofread your essay prior to turning it via email no later than Monday, May 4.

Welcome back to Bremond High School. English II/Pre-AP English II and English IV/Pre-AP English IV will allow you to explore the world around you through your imagination. We will read a variety of texts and write an assortment of masterpieces. Therefore, everything you do in this class will be worth something. Make the most of your time spent in class and you will excel.
Upon reaching high school, graduation is just around the corner! You have the ability to improve yourself academically and ultimately impact society in a positive way.
