CONFERENCE PERIOD: 8:52-9:40 (2nd Period)
TUTORIALS: 7:30-7:55 and 3:08-3:30 (Monday-Thursday, Friday AM)
SUPPLIES FOR CLASS:
Each student is to bring their class folder, notebook paper, and a pencil to class each day.
GRADE DETERMINATION:
50% Tests
50% Daily work/Homework and Labs - The state mandates that 40% of the science curriculum must be taught through laboratory investigations.
MAKE-UP WORK AND ABSENCES:
The responsibility of asking for all makeup work belongs to the student.
Students are responsible for asking for the work they missed, and assignments will be due in the same number of days they were absent, plus one day. All labs, quizzes, and tests must be made up before or after school, during tutorials. (See times above) This is the district make-up policy, zeros will result if not followed in a timely manner.
Students absent due to school-related activities shall turn in assignments on the appointed day or in advance. Extra time is not permitted.
LATE WORK:
All assignments turned in within 24 hours after they are due to be submitted to the teacher will receive a 30 point deduction. A grade of zero will result after 24 hours late.
HOMEWORK:
You can expect homework from this class, weekly.
