Mrs. Smith's First Grade Class
Welcome to the World of First Grade!
My name is Kay Smith and this is my third year to teach first grade. I have been with Bremond ISD for twenty years. I started the Pre-K program at Bremond Elementary in January of 1991. I taught Pre-K for nine years and then decided I was ready to move up to the world of third graders. After teaching third grade for ten years, I decided that my next step in life was to move to the exciting challenge of first graders. I love to read and write and my goal as an educator is to hopefully instill the love of these subjects into my students. I like to keep an open line of communication between home and school so we can work together to make this year successful. This year we will be learning about plants, animals, rocks, matter, our community, and our world along with taking big steps in learning how to read and write. If we work together as a team, I know that we will have a great year.
