    Ronnie Groholski Named TEPSAN of the Year for Region VI

    Congratulations Mr. Groholski!

    Twenty school leaders were recently named TEPSANs of the Year by the Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association (TEPSAN). Members from the 20 TEPSA Regions across the state annually honor a colleague for their outstanding service to the association. Award recipients must by committed to advancing the principalship and the association, as well as service as a voice for Texas students. Honorees will be recognized at the TEPSA Awards Reception Wednesday, June 14, at the Austin Renaissance Hotel. 

     

    "These leaders are dedicated to serving and advocating for members in their regions. We are appreciative of their time and efforts," said TEPSA Executive director Harley Eckhart.

    2017 Scholarships

     

    April

     

    The Harold H. Luster, II Memorial Scholarship Program

    Open to students pursuing a medical/health field of study, such as:  EMT, Paramedic, Nursing, Sports Trainer, Physical Therapy, etc.  Deadline is April 14, 2017.

     

    Bremond Chamber of Commerce Scholarship

    Open to graduating seniors except valedictorian, salutatorian, and transfers.  Application is available from the counselor.  Deadline is April 17, 2017.

     

    Robertson County Fair Association, Inc. Scholarship

    RCFA plans to award scholarships for graduating seniors who will attend institutes of higher learning after high school and have participated in the RCFA.  An application is available in the counselor’s office and is due April 17, 2017.

     

    Capital Farm Credit Scholarship

    Applicant must be pursuing an education in fields relating to agriculture, education, finance, or natural resources (Ag Communications, Ag Economics/Business, Ag Education, Wildlife or Ranch Management, Education, Finance, Business).  Application is available in the counselor’s office.  Deadline is April 21, 2017.

     

    Charles Love Memorial Scholarship

    Applications are available from the counselor and are due April 21, 2017.

     

    Dr. T.B. and Anne Carroll Scholarship

    Applications are available in counselor's office. Forms are due April 28, 2017.

    Helen J. Kleypas Scholarship

    The Helen J. Kleypas Scholarship application is available in the counselor’s office.  Open to all students but an emphasis is given to a field of study with agriculturally-related or nursing courses.  Application must be submitted to the counselor by April 28, 2017.

     

    Karen Goen Memorial Scholarship

    Open to all students but an emphasis is given to a field of study in education.  Application is available from the counselor and is due April 28, 2017.

     

    Kiewit Foundation/Walnut Creek Mining Company Scholarship

    Open to all students but an emphasis is given to a field of study in science or engineering.  Application is available from the counselor and is due April 28, 2017.

     

    Navasota Valley Electric Scholarship

    Open to seniors whose parents are members of the electric cooperative and whose permanent residence is with NVEC.  Application is available from the counselor and is due on April 28, 2017.

     

    Dean and Shirley Oldham Memorial Scholarship

    Scholarship is open to Any Bremond High School Senior pursuing a degree in education upon graduation who is not a relative of Dean or Shirley Oldham.  Application is available in the counselor’s office and the deadline is April 28, 2017. 

     

    Robertson County Farm Bureau Scholarship

    Applicant’s parents must be members of the Robertson County Farm Bureau and the student must plan to pursue a college degree or an associate degree.  Deadline is April 28, 2017.

     

    Texas Builders Foundation Scholarship

    Applicant must be pursuing a building trade certification, construction science, management, engineering or related degree and plan to enter the construction workforce upon graduation.  Application is available online at TexasBuildersFoundation.org.  Deadline is April 28, 2017

     

    Bremond Masonic Lodge #350 Scholarship

    Open to all students pursuing a college education.  Application is available from the counselor.  Deadline is April 30, 2017.

     

     

     

    May

     

    Robertson County Go-Texan

    Applicants must sell a minimum of 200 tickets and meet other deadlines and requirements to be awarded a minimum of a $1,000 scholarship.  Deadline for application is May 1, 2017.

     

    Robertson County Texas Retired Teachers Association Scholarship

    Applicant must be entering the teaching profession, possess a good academic record, and exhibit high moral standards.  Deadline is May 1, 2017.

     

    Texas Hospitality Association Scholarship

    Texas Hospitality Association will award educational scholarships to four 2017 Texas High School Graduating Seniors who submit the winning artwork for posters to be used in the fight against underage drinking.  All entries must be postmarked by May 5, 2017.

     

    Ozarka Natural Spring Water $10,000 “Every Drop Counts” Earth Science Scholarship

    This scholarship is intended for students pursuing degrees at a four-year college or university in the field of earth/environmental science.  Examples of earth/environmental science fields include but are not limited to:  geology, hydrogeology, environmental science, environmental law, environmental education, forestry, oceanography, and ecology.  Application is available from the counselor and online at:  http://www.nestle-watersna.com/Content/Documents/pdfs/Ozarka_Every_Drop_Counts_Application_2017.pdf.  The deadline for all materials to be submitted is Friday, May 26, 2017

    Cheerleader Fundraisers

    Our 17-18 Varsity cheerleaders are having a fundraiser to help pay for camp, uniforms, supplies for pep rallies, and morning tattoo sales.  Each young lady has a set of 10, 4-pack car fresheners to sell for $10.00.  You can either buy from them or stop by the high school office to purchase a pack.  Thank you in advance for your support of our cheerleaders.

    Bake Sale and Car Wash was a success!! Thanks so much to the community for their support!

    Youth Art Month Capitol Exhibit Entries

    Reception Photos

    Middle School 7th Grader Nastasha Gouge and High School 10th Grader Allison Killgore were accepted into the Youth Art Month Capitol Exhibit which will be on display in the State Capitol during the month of March, which is Youth  Art Month. They will be recognized at a reception in late March at the Bullock Natural History Museum, in Austin. Texas’ First Lady Mrs. Abbott is usually in attendance at the event and will be making a selection of ten works of art from this exhibit for display in the Governor’s Business Office. Bremond artists have been selected four times for the Governor’s exhibit and these students were Jared Hoffpauir, Hope Viator, Katherine Hull and currently Sarah Rowan.
